How It Started

At the age of 19, while studying finance at NYU’s Stern School of Business, I launched my very first business from a dorm room, not because I had all the answers, but because I was curious about building something and owning it.

That spark or determination of being extraordinary has taken me through more than 20 years of entrepreneurship, co-founding, and growing tech-enabled ventures across the US and India.

Along the way, I’ve learned a lot, but one thing is sure that growth doesn’t come just from innovation. It comes from alignment and clarity. From people knowing why, what, and for whom they’re doing. If the purpose is sorted, growth is the natural outcome.

The Challenge That Made me Stumble

In every business I built, I saw this common pattern.

The teams were talented. The work ethic was strong. But something big was missing, that is, alignment.

We were busy, but not always moving in the same direction. That realization made me rethink how we set goals and measure progress, not just through KPIs or quarterly reviews, but through shared objectives.

That’s when I began to explore structured goal setting as more than a tactic, but an entire philosophy for running a business.

The Idea of JOP (Joy of Performing)

After trying this very new idea across my own companies and seeing over 40% year-over-year growth, something became clear:

“When people understand their goals and believe in them, performance becomes impactful in business growth.”

That clarity, accountability of the task, and energy are what led to JOP.

As CEO and Co-founder of JOP (Joy of Performing), I now help other organizations to:

Set meaningful goals across all levels

Align teams with goals, breaking silos

Foster a culture of clarity

Turn strategy into action

JOP is more than a platform. It’s a mindset shift. One that puts people back at the center of performance.
